Does Psychedelic Use Reduce Alcohol Consumption? A Longitudinal Mixed-Method Study on Behavioral Trends in Psychedelic and Non-Psychedelic Individuals

This study investigates whether psychedelic use is associated with long-term reductions in alcohol consumption. It focuses on individuals who have used psychedelics in therapeutic or self-reflective contexts and compares their behavioral patterns to a non-psychedelic reference group.

It is a longitudinal, mixed-method research project incorporating retrospective data, interviews, and group-level comparisons. Its aim is to assess whether a measurable trend in alcohol use emerges over time among individuals engaged in psychedelic work, as compared to those without such experiences.

STATUS: In design phase; planned for Q2, 2025.
